You can stop feeling my butt up back there

Bryan: You can stop feeling my butt up back there, Mom.(*)
(*) Technically, stepmom

I’m about 75% through this sequence I’m working on, which is a little better than I expected this week. I should finish it up in the next week. After that, 5 more sequences, and some final testing, and version 0.7 will be ready for release.

Above, Trish accidentally sprayed water on Bryan’s back and is trying to (a little too sensually) pat his butt dry with her hands. Below, Trish and Bryan started off with her in a dress, and him in a suit and tie, but through a series of misadventures are now both nearly naked. Then Bryan accidentally spills this special sauce that he has the recipe for all over Trish. He just scooped some off her and poked it in her mouth so she can confirm it is as fantastic tasting as he said it was.

I also widened three more Aftermarket 2 pages for 7$ patrons (see www.blog.fuguetales.com/patrons7/ for links), and three more pages for 3$ patrons (see www.blog.fuguetales.com/patrons3/ for links).

Another sequence down!

Another sequence down!

I told you guys I wanted to finish 7 more sequences to include in Dr Diggler v0.7. I finished one of the sequences this week, leaving 6 more sequences to go. The next sequences is mostly plotted — it’ll just require lots and lots of image changes. I may be able to finish it in a week if I’m lucky. The sequence after that is a little more complex, but will be more fun (and more fun for you guys to play, too). The release of v0.7 is coming into sight!

Oh yeah, that’s Trish above, begging for another lick of that inhumanly good sauce that Bryan found the recipe for; and Trish’s sister Elaine below. She’s one of Bryan’s tasks for level 3 that we’re getting ready to move on to — he needs to tame her and make her purr when he scratches her tummy.

I also widened three more Aftermarket 2 pages for 7$ patrons (see www.blog.fuguetales.com/patrons7/ for links), and three more pages for 3$ patrons (see www.blog.fuguetales.com/patrons3/ for links).

Awwwright! WHO spiked Dr Diggler’s eggnog, to put him in such a good mood?!

Awwwright! WHO spiked Dr Diggler’s eggnog, to put him in such a good mood?!

Yep, that’s the old Bastard of the History Department himself — Diggler, HIMSELF! — grinning with a big ole’ Noel joy on his face. Of course, even diabolical villains enjoy the holiday season.

The lady on the left is Trish’s older sister, Selena. She’s the more demure, new-agey, hippie member the three sisters. The lady on the right is Trish’s younger sister, Elaine, the more forward, competitive of the three sisters.

The second image below is also of Trish’s older sister, Selena. Long timers may notice that I’ve reworked Selena’s hair a little bit from earlier test sketches. It’s a little more loose and easy-going now, like her.

The two sisters play a large role in level 3 of the game (that I’ll be working on as soon as I get v0.7 out). Trish calls in her two sisters for moral support, to help reorient her moral compass back where she knows it ought to be. It’s Bryan’s job to dominate and seduce them — sort of practice runs before he does it for real with Mom (technically, stepmom).

As I mentioned, I’m working on getting v0.7 together to release. I have 7 more sequences I want to get into it before I call it ready (there are a few other odds and ends too, but basically the 7 additional sequences). I’ll keep you all posted on my progress through them, and when we’re getting close to release.

I also widened three more Aftermarket 2 pages for 7$ patrons (see www.blog.fuguetales.com/patrons7/ for links), and three more pages for 3$ patrons (see www.blog.fuguetales.com/patrons3/ for links).

Do you like brainy girls, Dr Diggler?

Pauline: Do you like brainy girls, Dr Diggler?
I can be brainy for you, if you do …
(hopeful:) I’d love to be your 20-year-old schoolgirl, for you, sir …
               Or your sexytary …

Well, we wrapped up the last page of Dr Diggler issue 1 this last week, and I’m spending as larger percentage of time on game development as we trail off the daily releases of the webcomics.

I still widened three more Aftermarket 2 pages for 7$ patrons. See www.blog.fuguetales.com/patrons7/ for links. I also widened three more pages for 3$ patrons. See www.blog.fuguetales.com/patrons3/ for links.

In case any of you ever work on both games and comics, here’s a sad but true fact: you can adapt game images fairly easily to use in comics. However, it doesn’t work in the other direction. Part of the variety in comics is moving the perspective of the viewer around a little from panel to panel, for variety. For games (at least for the ones developed with Mouse, which are a little like flipbook animations), you have to keep the viewer’s perspective held pretty rigidly still. Otherwise it will look like the game is through a hand-held camera (like something from Blair Witch), and you’ll give the player a headache.

Moral of the story: existing work can be adapted in one direction; not so much in the other direction.
